Two interns place their careers into jeopardy when they each do something they know they shouldn’t. When Meredith visits the maternity ward, she notices that a newborn is discolored and otherwise looks unhealthy. She mentions this to Preston, who eventually performs surgery on the baby. The child does not have a green card, she is afraid that she will go to jail. Izzie takes some materials from the hospital to the girl and fixes her wounds.
