Finally, after a four-week layoff, Grey’s is back! This episode persists the romance of Meredith and her veterinarian friend, Finn. Their date is intermittent by Derek, who tries to use the idea of Meredith dating as an incentive to improve his (sexual) relationship with Addison.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bailey questions Izzie’s professionalism and lead as Izzie advises Denny against connecting a portable device that would allow him mobility. Dr. Burke, in the meantime, becomes inconsolable when his musical idol and patient, Eugene Foot, dies after an unsuccessful operation to take away his pacemaker.

She complies, then gets into trouble after Alex blows the whistle to her patient’s husband.
