On this episode, the nurses go on a strike. In result to this, the doctors were not ready for their new additional responsibilities. At the same time, Bailey, the resident, is under strict orders for bed rest. Since Bailey can’t watch over the interns, here comes a new resident, Sydney. Sydney is an anti-Bailey: her niceness was irritating and she was this sweet, vivacious cheerleader-like surgeon. And for this, the interns try to do everything to get away from her, with the exception of Alex and Cristina, wherein they are in charge with a patient who has a flesh eating bacteria. The three disagrees on how to save the patient. Meanwhile, Izzie and Meredith were in charge of patients whom they can relate with.
