Meredith and Dr. Shepherd are trying desperately to convince a religious zealot to let his daughter undergo a life-saving operation.  While this is happening, Ellis’s love affair with Richard gets re-ignited.  George and Alex need to perform surgery under very poor conditions in order to save the life of a police officer.  Christina is back at work now but she needs to deal with a patient who goes nuts when his access to his “pain medication” gets cut off. Meanwhile, the Shepherd-Grey-Shepherd love triangle is on its way to an interesting resolution.
